The Royal Tour: Down Under

In less than a week Prince William, Kate, and Prince George head off on their tour of New Zealand and Australia! To get a complete itinerary click here. Here are some of the highlights:

Monday 4/7: The royal family arrives in Wellington, New Zealand.
Thursday 4/10: Will and Kate are to attend a State Reception at Government House hosted by the Governor General.
Friday 4/11: The royal lovebirds fly to Auckland, NZ and visit the Royal New Zealand Air Force base. Dragon boat races are also included in today's festivities.
Saturday 4/12: The Duke and Duchess will begin their day at separate engagements. The Duchess will be visiting a children's hospice while the Duke will be touring an aerospace factory. The pair then travel to the NZ town of Cambridge (how fun!) together to open New Zealand's new velodrome. They will also meet some of NZ's Olympic meadalist and watch a BMX exhibition.
Wednesday 4/16: The pair will visit the Royal New Zealand Police college, a facility officially opened by William's father, Prince Charles, 30 years ago. The Cambridges then fly to Sydney, Australia where they will be welcomed with a reception at the Sydney Opera House.
Friday 4/18: Will and Kate will enjoy the Royal Easter Show at Sydney’s Olympic Park and then travel to Manly where they will tour Manly Beach and honor the life-saving volunteers.
Sunday 4/20: The duo (and possibly Prince George!) will visit the Bilby enclosure at the Taronga Zoo. The enclosure was named after Prince George on the occasion of his birth.
Thursday 4/24: Prince William and Catherine, after having travel to Southern Australia the day before, will visit the National Portrait Gallery, Parliment House, and the National Arboretum in the city of Adelaide.
Friday 4/25: After a morning filled with engagements, The Wales family will board a flight home to London.

Most importantly, what will Kate be wearing?! Listen for names of Australian designers such as Colette Dinnigan, Carla Zampatti, Zimmerman, and Lisa Ho. She may also turn up in New Zealand designers like Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, World, or Zambesi. No doubt Kate will be making a splash in her trieds and trues such as Jenny Packham, LK Bennett, Temperly, and Emilia Wickstead.
