November 8

The senior members of the Royal Family ascended upon The Cenotaph in London for an annual Remembrance Day Service. The Duchesses of Cornwall and Cambridge, the Countess of Wessex along with Sir Timothy Lawrence, husband of Princess Anne, paid their respects from the balconies of the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office Building as per Royal protocol. 



This year the Queen chose to oversee the ceremony from the balcony. She was not accompanied by her husband Prince Philip (he has not attended the service since 2017), but by her lady in waiting Mrs. Suzy Rhoades. 



Prince Charles laid a wreath on the Queen's behalf this year. He also laid his own wreath of remembrance along with Prince William, Edward, Earl of Sussex, the Duke of Kent, and Princess Anne. An equerry laid a wreath on behalf of 99 year old Prince Philip.





Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore a bespoke Alexander McQueen coat, a Philip Treacy hat, black Alice Merino wool gloves, three poppies, and the Queen's diamond and pearl Jubilee earrings. She was seen leaving in a black Plumetti style mask by Amaia's Kids.





Later that day, as Colonel of the Welsh Guards, The Prince of Wales attended the Welsh Guards Black Sunday Service in London where he laid a wreath at The Guards' Memorial and met with representatives of the Regiment.


The Earl and Countess of Wessex also had extra duties that afternoon. Their Royal Highnesses laid wreath at the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire in a tribute to all those who have given their lives in service to their country. 



Meanwhile, in California, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, made a private visit to the Los Angeles National Cemetery where they laid a wreath and flowers picked from their garden at the graves of two Commonwealth soldiers. Photos were  taken and released by their team. 






The Duchess opted to wear a Brandon Maxwell coat and belt and Jennifer Chamandi 'Lorenzo' heels accessorized with a red poppy,  her Cartier 'Love' bracelet and Cartier Tank Francaise Watch.

As part of Remembrance Week, Catherine held video chats speaking with families who have lost loved ones while serving in the military while William chatted with currently deployed service members.


Kate wore the 'Boo Blouse' in ivory from Ghost London for her chats.

HRH Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall penned a short letter to all frontline professionals who continue to go above and beyond to support victims and families experiencing domestic abuse. She is the patron of Safe Lives, an organization dedicated to ending domestic abuse.

TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall marked the centenary of the burial of the Unknown Warrior at a special service of Westminster Abbey in London.


The service commemorated an unknown British serviceman, whose body was brought from Northern France and buried at Westminster Abbey on November 11, 1920.

This week's issue of Country Life Magazine is released. It was guest edited by The Prince of Wales to mark his birthday!


November 12

A clothing collection from The Modern Artisan project launches. The Modern Artisan project was born out of mutual interest in sustainable fashion between Prince Charles and the CEO of Yoox Net-a-Porter. The resulting collection is comprised of ten piece of womenswear and eight piece of menswear and is available across all four of Yoox Net-a-Porter online stores. 


All profits from the sale of the collection will be donated to The Prince's Foundation to enable the charity to develop and deliver training programs that will help preserve traditional textile skills.

A four day Bank Holiday weekend to mark The Queen's Platinum Jubilee (70 years on the throne!) has been announced for June 2022. Further plans are to be announced at a later time.

The Princess Royal, President of World Horse Welfare since 1994, addressed the virtual 2020 conference. World Horse Welfare is a charity that works to improve the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning, and hands on care.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex showed her support for Girl Guiding. Her Royal Highness, president of Girl Guiding, earned a Pudsey badge by baking 55 cheese and bacon scones! The Countess's scones were delivered to The Hope Hub in Camberley, a charity supporting homeless people in Surrey.

The Prince of Wales visited the exercise Loyal Leda 20. Multination troops are helping to certify the headquarters as NATO's first War Fighting Corps at readiness since the Cold War.

The Duchess of Cambridge marked the end of the UK-wide Hold Still community exhibition with a video message.


Earlier in the week, The Duchess was able to speak to Johannah Churchill, one of the finalists in the Hold Still contest, whose portrait was recreated as a mural in Manchester.

Charles and Camilla arrive in Berlin, Germany and where they will attend events to commemorate the annual Nation Day of Morning which this year focuses on British-German relations.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall took on a number of engagements in Berlin including a meeting with President Steinmeier at Bellevue Palace and laying of a wreath at Neue Mache Central Memorial in Berlin. Prince Charles delivered a speech at the Central Remembrance Ceremony.

It's announced that Prince Charles will become the patron of Barts Heritage. Barts Heritage is a charity formed in partnership with Barts Health NHS Trust to repair and renovate the Grade I listed North Wing and the Henry VIII Gatehouse at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London.

The Countess of Wessex joined a meeting with the Women Mediators across the Commonwealth Network to celebrate the role of women peacebuilders. The Countess champions the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda which aims to increase women's participation in peace processes.

This year this Booker Prize winner ceremony was streamed live. The Duchess of Cornwall, who has supported the Booker Prize since 2013 recorded a message for this year's virtual ceremony. The Booker Prize is awarded to an outstanding fiction novel written in English and published in the UK or Ireland.

Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary.

Prince William surprised a group of young ambassadors from the Diana Award who shared their personal stories and how they have been helping their peers with similar challenges. The Diana Award, established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, is the prestigious accolade given to a young person (age 9-26) for their social action or humanitarian work.

Rumors circulate that Prince Harry and Meghan's belongings have been moved out of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor which is the couple's UK private residence - and that staff was sent in to prepare the home for new tenants. Frogmore Cottage is located on the estate of the Queen in Berkshire, Windsor, England.


The Sussexes' possessions where said to have been moved out of the property and under the cover of darkness and sent to California where they are living in a mansion in Montecito (allegedly purchased by the couple for $11m euro which is approximately 13.2 million US dollars of which $9m USD is mortgaged).

A vice-patron of the Royal Commonwealth Society, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall joined the live final of the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition via video to congratulate winners and runners up.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met virtually with beneficiaries of the Future Men UK's Fathers Program which helps fathers develop their confidence as parents at every stage of their child's development. The Duchess wore a Michael Kors' blouse for the meeting.

The Cambridge Family announced that sadly their family dog Lupo had passed away at the age of 9. Lupo was given to Will and Kate as a wedding gift by Kate's brother James Middleton in 2011.

The Duke spoke via video chat to representatives from Oxford University to congratulate them on the progress that has been made on their work developing a vaccine for COVID-19. The Oxford vaccine is shown to be 70.4% effective. A two dose vaccine showed that it could be 90% effective.

The Duchess of Cambridge release a series of videos with the results from the 5 Big Questions survey and to reveal the 5 Big Insights. 5 Big Questions is the biggest UK study ever on the early years (ages 0-5) led by The Duchess under The Royal Foundation umbrella.

Prince Andrew is seen driving around the town of Windsor where he lives at Royal Lodge.

Newlyweds Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are spotted shopping at a Waitrose in Belgravia. The princess was carrying a Goyard tote. The couple currently reside in an apartment in St. James's Palace in London.

Moving vans are seen in Windsor near Frogmore Cottage. It is thought the vans were moving in items belonging to Princess Eugenie (who is pregnant with her first child) and her husband Jack Brooksbank. Frogmore Cottage is the private residence of Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex. 


Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Brooksbankses are moving in, but heeded "Frogmore is a private residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and any arrangements is a matter for them."

As the patron of domestic abuse charity Safe Lives, The Duchess of Cornwall released a video of message to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex revealed in an op-ed for The New York Times that she has suffered a miscarriage of her and Prince Harry's second child in July. The Duchess described with personal experience with pregnancy loss and as "almost unbearable grief" and called for readers to "commit to asking others, 'Are you OK?' Read the full piece here.


Although the royal family did not issue a formal statement about Meghan's essay or the Sussexses' personal tragedy, reports have suggested that the family have supported the couple since they shared the news with them privately earlier this year.

Prince Edward stepped into his father Price Philip's shoes in his first virtual engagement with London Youth charity since the patronage passed from father to son. The Earl of Wessex caught up with some of the charity's young ambassadors who support the organization's work to help youth across the UK.

Reports emerge that Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo will move out of their apartment in St. James's Palace and into Ivy Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. Ivy Cottage was once home to Will and Kate, but most recently Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack.

The Prince of Wales released a message of support for the launch of BBC's Country File's new campaign, Plant Britain.

Royal BFF Jessica Mulroney states in an on-the-record interview states that Meghan "constantly FaceTimes and checks up" on her. Earlier this year, Jessica was at the center of a scandal after she was accused of leveraging her white privilege. Reports circulated that Meghan was mortified by the scandal and that Jessica was worried about her years-long friendship with the Duchess.

This week, The Queen spoke to three winners of the Commonwealth Points of Light award from her home at Windsor Castle to celebrate their achievements. Each week The Queen awards one volunteer from across the commonwealth with a Points of Light award in recognition of their outstanding initiatives.
