Happy 37th Birthday, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge!

William, Duke of Cambridge became the patron of the London Air Ambulance Charity's 30th Anniversary Campaign. London's Air Ambulance has been providing life-saving treatment to the 10 million people who live and work in London for the past 30 years. 


The Duke paid a visit to the London Air Ambulance at The Royal London Hospital on the same day. He met with pilots, crew members, paramedics, and clinicians. William was once an air ambulance pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Kensington Palace announces the Duchess of Sussex's patronages. Meghan is now the patron of Smart Works which helps long term unemployed women regain the confidence they need to succeed in job interviews, return to employment, transform their lives, and Mayhew an organization that finds innovative ways to reduce the number of animals in need through pro-active community and educational initiatives and preventative veterinary care.


Patronages of The National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) have been passed down to the Duchess from Her Majesty The Queen.

Meghan visited Smart Works headquarters. The announcement of The Duchess' patronage of Smart Works was announced earlier that morning.



The pregnant royal stepped out in an Oscar de la Renta cotton twill coat, the 'Eliza' dress from Hatch Collection, a Victoria Beckham vanity box bag, and Gianvito Rossi cow print plexi heels.




January 11

The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, as Charles and Camilla are known in Scotland, visited Scotland's historic Fife Arms Hotel. The hotel had just reopened after extensive restorations. Fife Arms is home to over 14,000 historical objects and works of art. Artists featured at the hotel include Pablo Picasso and a watercolor piece by Queen Victoria! The duo wore tartan kilts for the occasion.




January 13

James Middleton, Kate's 31-year-old brother, opened up about his battle with depression in an essay published in the Daily Mail. The youngest Middleton child revealed he has been struggling since 2016, calling depression "an illness, a cancer of the mind." James' Instagram account has now been made public. You can follow him @jmidy.

 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in their first join engagement of 2019,  visited Berkenhead in Merseyside, England. They met with several local organizations including Tomorrow's Women Warril and Feeding Berkenhead.  Meghan and Harry also took time to pay their respects to acclaimed First World War poet Wilfred Owen by viewing a sculpture in Hamilton Square marking the 100th anniversary of his death.







The Duchess, decked out in a red Sentaler wrap coat, red Stuart Weitzman 'Leigh' pumps, Aritzia Babton 'Maxwell' dress, and the 'Nina' bag by Gabriela Hearts, told the public that she is 6 months along in her pregnancy and is due in late April/early May. As for the gender, Meghan reports she and Harry want to be surprised!

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out solo for a visit King Henry's Walk, a community garden in North London. King Henry's Walk is home to The Garden Classroom which gives urban children and adults outdoor experiences.






Kate wore a Dubarry of Ireland coat, a J Crew mock turtleneck sweater, a pair of pants from Zara, and Chloe 'See' boots.


January 16



Meghan stepped out in a visit to Mayhew which she was recently named a patron of.  Mayhew is an animal charity in London that helps rescue animals find forever homes and encourages the benefits of animal therapy programs.





The Duchess debuted a head-to-toe cream look wearing a H&M knit dress, a Stella McCartney purse, a cashmere coat by Giorgio Armani, and Paul Andrew 'Coquette' pumps in camel.


January 16

On the same day Meghan visited Mayhew, Kate visited the costume department of The Royal Opera and Royal Ballet where she met with Fay Fullerton, the Royal Opera's Head of Costume, costume department employees, and principle dancers.





The Duchess wore Oscar de la Renta suiting separates, Ruper Sanderson 'Nada' heels, and carried her Aspinal midi 'Mayfair' bag. We have previously seen the Kate wear the Oscar de la Renta suit in 2017.


January 16


While Kate and Meghan were busy in London, Camilla was in Scotland to install the new principal and vice-chancellor at University of Aberdeen, one of Scotland's oldest universities. The ceremony took place at Elphinstone Hall, King's College.

After her daytime visit to Mayhew, The Duchess of Sussex stepped out with her duke to attend Cirque du Soleil's 'Totem' at Royal Albert Hall. The event raised funds for Sentebale's work with children and young people affected by HIV.


Sentebale was founded in 2006 by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to help provide tools and knowledge for young people affected by HIV in Lesotho, Botswana, and Malawi.



Meghan wore a navy, sequined gown by Roland Mouret, Stuart Weitzman 'Naked' heels in black, a bracelet that once belonged to Princess Diana, and carried a Givenchy clutch.



January 17


Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was involved in a car crash near his Sandringham Estate. The Duke, 97,  was at the wheel and had to climb from the wreckage of his Land Rover after it overturned on its side. Both the Duke and a female driver had been breathalyzed at the scene. The tests showed neither had been under the influence. Prince Philip was evaluated by a doctor at Sandringham with the Queen by his side and was found to be uninjured. The accident left two other people in the hospital with minor injuries.
