2017 Met Gala Fashion

Hollywood's elite took to the East Coast for a night of fundraising and fashion on May 1 for the 2017 Met Gala. This year's ball celebrated fashion designer Rei Kawakubo. Each year the gala offers a mix of eclectic, forward, and bold fashion. Here are my top picks from the night:

Emma Roberts in Diane Von Furstenberg

Emma Roberts is often on my best dressed list.  I love the sleekness, the peek-a-boo of lace, and that this dress had buttons down the back! Emma looks stunning, and her chestnut brown hair really compliments the color of the dress.

Miranda Kerr in Oscar de la Renta

I love the 1950s shiloutte. The best part of this dress is the mix of the feminine flower print with the hardness of the metallic undertone (plus the metallic shoes!).

Kate Hudson in Stella McCartney

I love the simplicity and her best accessory is her platinum hair!

Adriana Lima in Alberta Ferretti

Slits in all the right places! I also love the use of two different material for this dress. That back!


Blake Lively in Versace

I love that this a bold statement and it's not too 'out there' for me. I enjoy the hard of the gold and the soft of the feathers. The feathers are a beautiful blue that hubby Ryan Reynolds matched his bow tie to!

Those who made it on my worst dressed list this year include Katy Perry (wtf?!), Jaden Smith (he brought his chopped dreads as an accessory, gross), Solange Knowles (puffer coat couture?), Helen Lasichanh aka Pharrell's wife (red Gumby?) and Grace Hartzel (creepy af). I was bored by Elle Fanning, Gisele, and JLo.

Did you see Priyanka Chopra in her custom Calvin Klein trench coat dress? Not sure if I love it or hate it.

For sure hate the boots.
