Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
I think this metallic is really interesting. It look like a bronze metallic which is different from the usual silver and gold we see. I love, love, love her hair! However, it seemed like Jennifer showed up drunk the the event. Thoughts?
Helen Mirren in Reem Acra
Helen Mirren is 72 year old. What?! I need the name of the person who does her work. Anyway, I love this dress because it's simple, has a great train... and oh, those jewels!
Allison Janey in Reem Acra
I would serious give my left kidney to look this good at 58. Allison Janney really did it for me again. The sleeves are major drama, the neckline is amazing, and the fit is out of this world. Congrats to her on her Best Supporting Actress Oscar win!
Gal Gadot in Givenchy
Well, she's Wonder Woman for a reason. Again, the metallic. Love it. I love the fringe on the bottom and the neckline. That Tiffany necklace isn't half bad either.
Greta Gerwig in Rodarte
Is it wrong to love this just because it's feminine and simple, yet elegant? Also you don't see yellow much on the red carpet and I love yellow!
As always, there were plenty looks that I did not find appealing. Taraji P. Henson looked pretty skanky, and I was really disappointed with Lupita Nyong'o. The sash on that dress and the colors makes me think of Chewbacca. Other misses for me were Andra Day, Salma Hayek, and Maya Rudolph.
Who were your hits and misses this year?
Gal Gadot is beautiful! I love that dress!! I didn't watch the red carpet, but now I want to watch some videos to see Jennifer Lawrence.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Jennifer Lawrence always drunk!?! LOL I've loved Allison Janney forever!! Love her dress!!
ReplyDeleteI was obsessed with Greta Gerwig's entire look! Still am. Rodarte is my favorite, and the hair ain't bad either. Anything that reeks of 90's throwback = I'm ALL IN.
