Happy Monday, ya'll! It was a weekend of sun and hot weather here in Michigan. Nick and I headed to his home town near Lansing this weekend to meet up with friends and spend some time with his family.
Road trip!
We swung by the high school Nick went to.
Saturday was spent at the childhood home of Nick's friends Mark and Brett (brothers). We hung out with them, their wives and kids, and their parents.
It was a great day catching up and grilling. We watched the UFC fight that evening and headed over to Nick's parents house to sleep.
Sunday am we went service at the church Nick grew up in. They had an awesome lunch and car show in honor of Father's Day after.
We got see three of a nieces/nephews!
I had such a great weekend soaking up the sun!
We headed home on Sunday after for a nap and F1. I tried to make a Dr. Pepper cake for Nick to take to work for his birthday, but it was an epic fail. Good thing his birthday isn't until Friday!
Update: I had talked about looking for a job opportunity closer to home. I had a interview and job shadow at a pediatrics office a couple weeks ago. And last Monday I was officially offered the position! On July 11 I will be transitioning from my Ear, Nose, and Throat office to the pediatrics office that's 6 minutes from my house!
I hope everyone had a really great day celebrating your dad!
I love that your dog wears his seatbelt! Congrats on your new job! That is exciting! -Crystal

Awe that's so awesome! Congrats! After 15 years at the same law firm that was an hour away from her house, my aunt finally found a new job less than 15 minutes from her house! Well overdue, that's for sure. She's loving her shorter drive too.
ReplyDeleteYayyy congratulations on the new job!! A 6 minute commute is going to be SO nice :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, cuz! I'm so excited!
DeleteSounds like a great weekend and congrats on the exciting new job opportunity!
