Ingredients:
2
pints of strawberries
5
tablespoons of sugar (or sugar substitute)
¼
cup water
Directions:
- Clean, hull, and halve strawberries.
- Over medium heat, mix the strawberries, water, and sugar. Use a fork to mash strawberries a little.
- Continue to stir until bubble.
- Allow to bubble 5-6 minutes, until it begins to thicken. Continue stirring.
- Remove from heat, serve, and enjoy!

ReplyDeleteWe've been buying frozen strawberries recently and I looooove making strawberry sauces! They're so delicious and we use truvia instead of regular sugar so it's pretty good for you too! It's so good on so many things like you mentioned- yum!

Deletei've actually been looking for a recipe for strawberry compote (for pancakes, oatmeal, etc.) and this is perfect. sometimes it's nice to just have a recipe to follow even when it's simple like this! love. and as you saw from my post yesterday, i am obsessed with anything strawberry lately...
