Today's Fall recipe comes from my very best friend, Sara Jane. Sara Jane and I met when we were 12 (17 years ago!) and we were insperable before I moved to Michigan. She is the sweestest, most selfless human being you will ever meet, and I am honored she lets me call her my best friend! Sara Jane's Apple Crisp is the best I have ever tasted and always gets requested for fall gatherings.
Ingredients:
3 medium sized apples, peeled, cored, and
sliced
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon
salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix apples and
brown sugar in greased baking dish, set aside. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and
cinnamon together in a bowl. Add egg and spread over apples. Pour melted butter
on top. Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm with a big scoop
of vanilla ice cream!
