The Duchess of Sussex was spotted having lunch at Chucs in the Notting Hill neighborhood of London with the new Deputy Director of Press Christian Jones. The mom-to-be wore H&M MAMA boyfriend jeans, Ray Ban gold aviator sunglasses, Stuart Weitzman 'Legend' suede pumps, and carried the Mulberry 'Bayswater' purse in Oxblood. 




January 20

Happy Birthday, Sophie, Countess of Wessex! Sophie is the wife of the Queen's youngest son, Prince Edward and mother to Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn. 


She was also announced as the patron of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance service. The Countess used the service in December 2001, being air lifted to King Edward VII Hospital in London after collapsing with severe abdominal pain during her sixth week of pregnancy. Unfortunately, Sophie suffered an atopic pregnancy.


January 20

The Queen attended church at St. Peter's with her son Prince Andrew. St. Peter's Church in Wolferton, Norfolk is located three miles from the Queen's private estate, Sandringham. The Queen and Prince Philip have come under fire for being seen driving without a seat belt in the days following his January 17 car crash.



January 21

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex quietly reunited with the prime minister of New Zealand Jacainda Ardern. Meghan hosted the prime minster at Kensington Palace. The two first met on Meghan and Harry's tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand in October.

Pippa Middleton Matthews was spotted out for a walk in London with her 3-month-old son Arthur.


January 22

Prince William was in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum where he took part in a conversation with Sir David Attenborough. William interviewed the English natural historian about his work to highlight the importance of the natural world and the urgent challenges and changes that the planet will face in the future.

Kate stepped out at Family Action to officially launch FamilyLine, a national service offering help for the parents and caregivers via e-mail, text, and phone call. FamilyLife was created for anyone struggling with aspects of family life, from parents and relationship difficulties to mental health and well being. The campaign helps mark the charity's 150th anniversary. Family Action works to tackle some of the most complex and difficult issues facing families today.





The Duchess wore the 'Yahvi' dress by Beulah London, Gianvito Rossi heels, and carried an LK Bennett clutch.


January 22

The Duke of Rothesay, as The Prince of Wales in known ins Scotland, formally opened The Dumfries House Health and Wellbeing Centre. The Center will house The Prince's Foundation's Integrated Health and Wellbeing program. 


January 23

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Kensington Palace as members of a judging panel for the upcoming Endeavor Fund Awards. The Endeavor Fund Awards honor servicemen and women who have used their athletic skills and sense of adventure to rehabilitate themselves. The pair attended the Endeavor Awards as an engaged couple in February 2018.



January 23

Prince William continues his time at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He met with former US Vice President Al Gore privately. The closed door meeting came after Gore lead a panel called 'Safeguarding our Planet' which focused on climate change.


January 23

The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Jewish Care's Brenner Centre in East London to commemorate its 80th anniversary. Camilla joined a tea and met volunteers, staff, and center members who spoke to the Royal about the role the center plays in their lives.


Later in the day The Duchess visited Caxton Hall Community Centre where she was greeted by local school children and residents who were taking part in CleanUpUK litter pick. 


To end the day, Camilla attended a reception with members of the Malmesbury Residents Association and a local Age UK lunch club. The Malmesbury Residents Association works to strengthen the community and improve the quality of life for their residents.

January 24

Sophie, Countess of Wessex visited Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill to open the charity's new care home, Shared Care, which will specialize in dementia services. The Countess has been Patron of the Brendoncare Foundation since 2003.

Prince William also used the World Economic Forum to discuss mental health, urging global leaders to break the stigma. The Duke of Cambridge spoke candidly about the difficulty he faced in trying to get celebrities to sign on to the Heads Together campaign (a charity started by The Duke, his wife The Duchess, and Prince Harry in 2016). 


William also met with HM Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Derdern,  and German Chancellor Angela Merkel at Davos.

The Duchess of Cornwall visited Swindon and carried out literacy engagements in her role as Patron of the Nation Literacy Trust. The Duchess visited North Swindon Library and Lyndhurst Centre.

Did the Queen address Brexit? Although she did not explicity mention Brexit, in an annual speech to her local Women's Institute in Norfolk, Her Royal Highness said every generation faced "fresh challenges and opportunities."

Reports surface that HRH Prince Philip sent an apology letter to the woman who suffered a broken wrist in his January 17 car accident near the royal family's Sandringham Estate.


January 28

During a visit to Coventry The Price of Wales viewed The Prince's Foundation's plans to restore Drapers' Hall which has been empty since the 1990s. The building will be turned into a performance venue and a music education center.

The Earl and Countess of Strathearn, as William and Catherine are known in Scotland, were in Dundee for several special engagements. Their Royal Highnesses were on hand to open the Victoria & Albert Dundee Museum. The couple met with employees and their families from the Dundee Michelin factory who will be losing their jobs when the plant closes next year. They also met with the Michelin Action Group. The group is looking to find or create solutions for repurposing the plant and providing a future for its workforce.








For the engagements Kate recycled her McQ Black Watch Tartan coat which she wore over a navy blue dress and black tights along with Pickett London's pashmina stole in emerald green, MANU Atelier 'Micro Bold' bag in emerald green, black seude Tod's pumps, and Cornelia James 'Imogen' wool gloves.



January 30


Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex visited another of her newly named patronages, The National Theatre, in London. Meghan met with staff, volunteers, and performers, and she toured the theater, stage, and backstage areas.





For the outing The Duchess wore a shawl collar blazer and v-neck dress created by Brandon Maxwell, her Aquazzura 'Matlide' pumps (which she wore for her engagement announcement), and carried a Carolina Herrera 'Metropolitan Insignia' clutch.

Happy 64th birthday, Carole Middleton!


Reportedly, Pippa Middleton Matthews and her husband James Matthews held a birthday party for the Middleton matriarch at their London home which Kate attended!

Meghan visited the last of her four announced patronages, the Association of Commonwealth Universities at City University in London. Her Royal Highness met with students, professors, and the charity's employees. 





The Duchess wore an all black ensemble which included a coat and pleated silk dress by Givenchy. She chose Manolo Blahnik 'BB' heels in nude suede.



February 1


Harry and Meghan spent a snowy day in Bristol touring some the city's landmarks. The Duke and Duchess visited Bristol Old Vic, the oldest working theater in the English speaking world, and Empire Fighting Chance, an organization that support local youth through non-contact boxing. They also spent time at One25, a charity that helps women break free from sex work.









Meghan wore a black coat by William Vintage, the 'Enchanted Forest' dress by Oscar de la Renta made of silk chiffon, and carried an olive green Ralph Lauren clutch to coordinate with her olive green Sarah Flint 'Marina' boots.
