Monday Madness Link Up 9.21.15

Happy Monday!

I woke up on Friday feeling a bit under the weather so I spent my weekend vegging out.

I watched a marathon of Worst Cooks in American on the Food Network and have decided that I need to apply to be on it. I'm a terrible cook. To me cooking is putting a frozen pizza in the oven or making something on the stove out of a bag.

I finished this book this weekend.

It was a cute story with an awesome setting. I just don't think the writing was very good.

I also watched the Matt Lauer interview with Joyce Mitchell. As you may remember that she is the prison worker who helped murder Richard Matt and David Sweat break out of the Clinton Correctional Facility back in June.

This interview painted her as a victim and she played the role. I think it's total crap. She knew exactly what she was doing.  Did anyone else see this?

Have a great week!

  1. Kyle usually cooks but I need to get on the cooking game too!! I'm not in college anymore. And what interview was that? We don't have a TV so I never know what's going on in the world.

  2. I wish I had seen that interview--I was curious about it, but I missed it. I definitely do not think that she was a victim in everything (altho I will say I dont know the whole story....what I do know does not paint her out to be a victim).

  3. I totally missed that interview and I had wanted to see it. I am not surprised that she is saying she is the victim, they usually do in cases like this. Totally need to see if I can find the interview online or on-demand.

  4. I didn't see the interview, but I agree from what I have heard she definitely does not seem to be a victim! Not surprised that is the angle they are going with though

  7. I watched the Dateline special too! I don't believe a word out of her mouth. She didn't seem like a victim at all.

  8. Hope you're feeling better, I had sore throat all weekend, was hoping I had beat it over the weekend, but nope, full on sinus infection, boo! Vegging out sounds pretty good right about now!

  9. What? How did I miss this story about a guard helping prisoners escape? Sounds like a made for TV movie. I'll have to check it out.
