Dream Destinations: Amsterdam

Way back when, I started a Dream Destinations series and didn't follow through with it. In this series I feature different places I haven't traveled to, but are a must see. I feature three things to do at that destination. It all started with Monaco, and I am super excited to report that Nick and I are planning a trip there for Summer 2017! Today we're flying to my second dream destination.... Amsterdam!

Things to do in Amsterdam:

//1// Anne Frank House

I was introduced to The Diary of a Young Girl at a young age by my grandfather. It's my favorite piece of non fiction. In Amsterdam you can visit the site where Anne Frank went into hiding and wrote her diary.

//2// The Jordaan neighborhood

The Jordaan area of Amsterdam is a perfect place to wonder around and view the canals. It also includes shops and bars, and if located close to the Anne Frank House. You can also view the neighborhood by water on a champagne canal cruise.

//3// Dutch National Opera and Ballet

Amsterdam is the boasts some of the world's finest talent. The Dutch National Ballet develops, produces and presents ballet that highest international level. The program aim is to reach a wide audience and bring today's audiences into conact with the beauty and passion of ballet.

Some other things you may want to see in Amsterdam include the Van Gough Museum, the Heineken Experience, Royal Palace of Amsterdam, and Dam square.

Space cake anyone? ::wink, wink::

  6. I would LOVE to go to Amsterdaam and I know my husband would too. Maybe one of these days. We have to use our travel credits from cancelling Aruba, so maybe here?

  7. The pictures remind me of scenes from the movie, The Fault in our Stars. Amsterdam is so pretty. I'd love to go and visit. Those house boats are so cute!
