Things I'm Thankful For (during the COVID-19 pandemic)

//1// I'm thankful for more time with Scout (he'll be 11 in May). I always said I wanted to be a stay at home dog mom. Look at me now. Dreams do come true!

//2// I''m grateful for my introverted nature. I think society tries to teach you that introversion is a bad thing, but I'm 100 percent against that. I've always been an introvert and enjoyed quiet time, being home, spending time with a minimal amount of people at the same time, and reading. I think being an introvert my whole life has really helped me out in this whole stay at home situation.

//3// I am thankful that, although I'm only working for 3-4 hours per week and collecting underemployment, my company is still paying for me to have health insurance. It's something they didn't have to do which makes me even more appreciative to have coverage during this time!

//4// I'm appreciative to have mindless reality TV for days when I'm feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Love Island (available on Hulu) is one of my favorites. It's super entertaining and totally binge worthy.

//5// I'm grateful for my husband's calm nature. He's so steady and even that sometimes I just want to scream! I want to see him get really, really excited about something or really, really angry about another, but he just never does. This has been really helpful when I worry about my job, money, family, friends, and the world in general. He gives me a lot of reassurance and comfort.

  1. I agree about being an introvert! On the other hand I do appreciate more now the value of seeing people!

  2. I don't mind staying home either, so that's a huge plus.

I only made it through half a season of Love Island. That show was insane.

  4. I love this! And yes, I'm thankful for my husband's mostly calm nature, too. He keeps me from panicking about things I can't control <3

  5. That's awesome that you're able to keep your health insurance and be a stay at home dog Mom. Haha, love it! I can totally relate to the introvert life. Being under these stay at home conditions hasn't affected me that much other than missing brunch dates. Or maybe I just miss the convenience of not having to do dishes every once in awhile.

  6. It's nice you are able to make the most of having to stay home and that you are still getting some work, even if it isn't a lot. I'm finding the work from home juggle quite hard having to help the kids do their online learning too. Our pup isn't enjoying not having quiet time at home to snooze, haha! The kids are always wanting to play with him or pat him!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend :)
