Monday Madness 2.16.15

Hi everyone! I'm sure you have noticed that I have been absent from the blog world. I've really missed reading all your posts. I feel so out of the loop! Thank you to everyone who continues to support this blog even though I have been absent from yours! You girls really rock! Also, thank you to everyone who participates in the Monday Madness Link Up week after week.

So, school... it's intense! That's why I have not been blogging or visiting blogs are much. I got to school Monday-Thursday from 8-4:30. It's an accelerated course which is great because I'll be in done by July, but it's an accelerated course so I have tons of work to do. I have multiple chapters to read, workbook work, presentation, and tests every week! We're also learning and having to demonstrate hands on skills, which is fun, but can be nerve racking! Last week was super cool. I got to removed sutures from pigs' feet and we visited the cadaver lab! I know, I'm a total weirdo!

Removing stitches was so fun! I hope whatever office or where ever I end up I get to do this. I went in really against ending up in a family practice and I still feel that way. I'm thinking oncology, orthopedics, or dermatology. For some reason orthopedics has become my front runner.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the cadaver lab. I was kind of picturing it like a morgue. It turned out not being anything like that. It was way less morbid and much for scientific-y.

This week we're learning to take vitals and learning about the cardiovascular system. So many vocabs words to remember. Ugh! Fridays are my day off and I spend a lot of time doing school work! Cherry Coke Zero and Sour Patch Kids have been getting me through!

Work at David's Bridal has been really good. It gives me a nice break from school. Medical assisting is so not glamorous or girly so David's really gives me that chance to show that part of me. I love dressing up for work and being around all the dresses! There is new merchandise every time I go it. So fun! I've been getting 22-25 hours which was too intense so I dropped my availability down to Thursday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays. They were super chill with it! I'm lucky!

This was my DB wedding dress. I had the straps removed and my train was cathedral length (much longer!).

Nick has been super supportive of me and super respectful of my at home study time. I seriously I have best husband ever! I am so blessed to have someone who is so supportive and who roots for me so hard.

Scout has been out of control since the changes went into place. My baby boy loves his schedule and he doesn't really have one right now. It's all over the place with who's home, who's not, and when it all happens. He's been eating rabbit poop in the backward instead of going to the bathroom so he's recently lost his privilege to go out by himself. He's back on the leash for some retraining. He also chewed up part of a blanket the other night.

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's weekend! Don't forget to link up below.
